Last weekend over 30 members of the Knox congregation gave up their Saturday morning. All members and adherents had been invited to attend this retreat, and to prepare by reading one of three different books on different aspects of our role and function: seeking out community needs that we can satisfy; helping those who join our congregation to know our purpose; and the always difficult one of finding funds to carry out our mission in downtown Ottawa.

Enthusiasm and energy were present in abundance, with many different considerations and concerns expressed. The leadership of the congregation has committed to keeping all of these in mind in leading the congregation forward to the next stage of involvement in people's lives, the community and beyond.
