The Centretown Churches Social Action Committee is pleased to invite you to an evening with Bishop Hannington Bahemuka of Uganda.  In 2001,
western Uganda was invaded by rebel forces that destroyed villages and farms, forcing those who survived into refugee camp.  Bishop
Hannington's story is one of the power of faith and the strength of self-help. Today, he speaks to groups across the globe about how he
used  faith-based principles to help lead his community out of refugee camps to rebuild their war-torn villages.

Against every odd imaginable, this community has not only rebuilt, they are finding ways to thrive.  In recent years, more than 30 churches
have been built and three schools that perform well above Ugandan standards have been established.  As well, Bishop Hannington is one of
multiple leaders who leads the local peace team.  Bishop Hannington's message is that in life, we often face what seems to be insurmountable
odds, but there can be a way forward.

A small networking reception will follow Bishop Hannington's presentation.  All are welcome.
