As one part of the 175th anniversary of Knox Church this year, quotes are being read during Sunday worship services from sermons, prayers, and other writings of previous Knox Ministers.   On Sunday, February 24th, in connection with our sermon series, "Questions about Heaven," the following words were quoted from a prayer of Rev. James Ballantyne, 4th Knox Minister (1894-96), found at his bedside upon Rev. Ballantyne's death in 1921:

"Write thy blessed name, O Lord, upon my heart, there to remain so endelibly engraven, that no prosperity, no adversity, shall ever move me from thy love.   Be thou to me a strong Tower of defense, a Comforter in tribulation, a Help in trouble, and a Guide to heaven through the many temptations and dangers of this life.  Amen."
