Exciting news: The Knox 2020 Wine Raffle happened this afternoon and we have our winners for both raffles!
Just to create some suspense, and maybe a bit of anonymity (along with sudden new friendships!), names of winners won't be displayed in this news article. You'll have to watch the exciting draw in the attached video including some background about the Knox Wine Raffle, the actual draws for both raffles, and even some authentic Knox noise from our beloved boilers!
With 500 tickets sold at $5 each, this year's raffle raised approximately $2000 in net-proceeds after costs for both draws: 12 bottles of selected wines! Funds have been allocated toward the total costs of purchasing a new dishwasher in the Iona Hall Kitchen.
Thank you very much to organizers of this year's Wine Raffle, Jean Hage and Debbie Campbell, not only for being great sports and co-hosts, but also along with me doing our best to safely distance, sanitize, and trying to project our voices while wearing masks! Thanks also to Denise Losier and Marianne Rasmus for all their administrative support to make this year's raffle such a success!
Finally, thank you very much to everyone who sold and purchased tickets for this year's Knox Wine Raffle, and Merry Christmas to all!
