One of the least recognized Christian 'holy days' is Ascension Day, marking 40 days Jesus spends with his disciples after Resurrection Sunday, and when, according to the Gospel of Luke, Jesus  is 'carried up into heaven' (Luke 24:51) and in the Acts of the Apostles, he is 'lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.' (Acts 1:9).  What on earth happened here?  Or maybe better said, what in heaven's name is going on?
